Some ESA programs allow educational games and supplies, but many exclude hardware and devices; each program decides. Osmo kits sit in a gray area, so check your program's rules before buying.

Is Osmo worth the money?

Osmo is still one of the cleverest ways to make tablet time hands-on: kids move real tiles and blocks and the game responds. It is best as early learning and enrichment for ages 3–10, not a core curriculum, and it is not a science program despite the STEM label. Check device compatibility first, and know the company changed hands in December 2025 after its parent company's bankruptcy.
