Is K12 worth the money?

K12 is the biggest name in full-time online school, and in many states its public schools are free, teacher-led and accredited. The trade-off is structure: students keep a school schedule, take state tests, and young children need a parent nearby for several hours a day. If your state has no K12-powered public school, the Private Academy works anywhere but now costs $6,000 to $8,000 a year for most grades.
