Questions
Is K12 accredited?
K12 says its K12-powered schools are accredited by Cognia, and K12 Private Academy shows Cognia accreditation as well as SACS CASI, a Cognia division. Accreditation is held school by school, so check your state's school page.
Is K12 the same as homeschooling?
Not legally. A K12-powered public school is public school at home: the school sets the curriculum, teachers grade work, and state tests apply. Homeschooling means the parent directs education under state homeschool law. K12 Private Academy and K12's individual courses sit closer to homeschooling.
