My Father's World
Christian, family-centered homeschool curriculum for preschool through 12th grade that blends Charlotte Mason, classical and unit-study methods. Thematic yearly programs combine Bible, history, geography, science, art and music, with a missionary emphasis throughout.
What is My Father's World?
My Father's World, or MFW, is a Christian homeschool curriculum for children from age 2 through 12th grade. Its programs are themed years that weave Bible, history, geography, science, art and music together, with hands-on projects and good books. Reviewers describe it as a blend of Charlotte Mason, classical and unit-study methods, with a missionary emphasis throughout.
MFW is based in Rolla, Missouri. It sells to homeschools, microschools and small schools.
How it works
Every program centers on a Teacher's Manual. Lessons are laid out in a weekly chart showing each subject with book titles and page numbers, so you open the manual and teach. Mornings are structured, and afternoons are kept flexible for reading, projects and outdoor learning.
Families learn together. In the INVESTIGATE years, children in grades 4–8 share one program, younger siblings in 2nd and 3rd grade can join, and 7th and 8th graders add a supplement with harder books. Each child does Student Sheets, mapping pages and activities at their level. Math and language arts are chosen per child.
In kindergarten, daily lessons take about 90 minutes and include phonics songs, short-vowel readers, handwriting practice and math and science activity sheets.
What it covers
| Stage | Programs | Grades |
|---|---|---|
| DISCOVER | All Aboard the Animal Train, Voyage of Discovery | Ages 2–4 |
| DISCOVER | God's Creation from A to Z | K |
| DISCOVER | Learning God's Story, Adventures in U.S. History, World Changers | 1–3 |
| INVESTIGATE | Exploring Countries and Cultures, Creation to the Greeks, Rome to the Reformation, Exploration to 1850, 1850 to Modern Times | 4–8 |
| DECLARE | Ancient, World, and two U.S. history and literature years | 9–12 |
Exploring Countries and Cultures, for example, covers world geography, missionary biographies and the Gospel of Matthew. Kids study ecosystems and cultures, cook traditional dishes, make crafts and listen to music from around the world. The high school years focus on Bible, English, literature and history, adding government, economics and geography later.
Who it's best for
MFW fits Christian families with more than one child who want a clear plan, a strong Bible thread and plenty of projects. Kids who enjoy maps, cooking and stories tend to love the INVESTIGATE years.
It is not a fit for secular families or for parents who want an independent, workbook-style program. If you want something more open-and-go with independence built in, compare Heart of Dakota. For a more reading-heavy approach, look at Sonlight.
Pricing at a glance
As of October 2026, MFW advertises 20% off packages. Kindergarten costs $235.70 to $399.33, and Exploring Countries and Cultures is $478.26 on sale. Teacher's Manuals and Student Sheets sell separately, and extra children need their own consumables. Budget for separate math and language arts.
Can a scholarship or ESA pay for it?
MFW says families can buy its curriculum with funds from programs including Arizona ESA, Texas Education Freedom Accounts, Georgia Promise Scholarships, New Hampshire EFAs, South Carolina ESTF, West Virginia Hope, Wyoming ESA and Alabama's CHOOSE Act, with Missouri pending. Each program still decides, and MFW says ESA purchases are non-returnable. Our ESA and scholarship guide explains how it works.

My Father's World FAQs
Is My Father's World Christian?
Yes. MFW builds a Christian biblical worldview into social studies, history, geography, science, math, language arts, art and music. Cathy Duffy describes it as Protestant with a missionary emphasis at every level. A Bible is required but not included.
Does My Father's World include math and language arts?
It depends on the level. The Kindergarten Premier Package is described as containing all needed subjects, but MFW sells math and language arts as separate categories, and reviewers say families add them at many grade levels.
Can I teach multiple kids with My Father's World?
Yes. The INVESTIGATE programs are designed for grades 4–8 together, with 2nd and 3rd grade siblings able to join, and 7th–8th graders adding a supplement. Each child works at their own level in math and language arts.
How much does My Father's World cost?

Is My Father's World Charlotte Mason or classical?
Both, plus unit studies. Reviewers describe it as a blend of Charlotte Mason methods like living books and nature walks, a classical chronological history cycle, and hands-on unit-study projects.
Is My Father's World accredited?
No. MFW is a curriculum publisher, not a school. Families who need accreditation can use it with an umbrella school that accepts outside curriculum.
Can I use ESA funds for My Father's World?
MFW lists several programs it can be purchased through, including Arizona ESA, Texas Education Freedom Accounts and Georgia Promise Scholarships. Each program decides, and ESA purchases are non-returnable. Save MFW to your Edulist wishlist and check your state.
