Boddle
A free 3D learning game for kindergarten through grade 6 with adaptive math and English practice inside pet battles, races and adventures. Free for teachers and kids; Premium is $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year.
What is Boddle?
Boddle is a free 3D learning game for kindergarten through grade 6. It's made by Boddle Learning, Inc. Kids create a character, raise pets, battle and race, and answer math and English questions along the way. Boddle says more than 650,000 educators use it, and it's free for teachers, so many kids first meet it at school.
The questions follow a Learning Roadmap that adjusts to each child's performance. Content is aligned to standards such as Common Core, TEKS and Florida's B.E.S.T.
How it works
Your child logs in on a computer, tablet or phone and plays. Questions pop up throughout the game. When an answer is wrong, Boddle can show a rationale or a short explainer video. Correct answers earn rewards and help a child progress.
Parents can create a free account to see activity, find questions causing trouble and assign specific skills. Teachers get a placement test, real-time reports and assignments. Most kids play 15 to 30 minutes at a time.
What it covers
| Subject | Grades | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Math | K–6 | Number recognition, operations, fractions, decimals, geometry |
| English language arts | K–6 | Reading and language skills |
Boddle reports more than 2,000 skills and 48,500 questions, rationales and videos. It's practice with hints, not a full lesson-based curriculum.
Who it's best for
Boddle fits kids in K–6 who like games, and families who want free practice tied to school standards. It's an easy pick if your child already uses it in class. Older kids may prefer Prodigy, which runs to grade 8, and kids who need more explanation may do better with a lesson-based option like Khan Academy Kids for early grades.
Pricing at a glance
Boddle is free. Premium costs $9.99 a month, or $5.83 a month billed yearly ($69.99 a year on the App Store), as of October 2026. Premium mostly adds game perks, not learning content. The app also sells optional Boddle Bucks, so set purchase controls on your child's device.
Can a scholarship or ESA pay for it?
Since Boddle is free, you probably won't need funding for it. Premium adds game perks rather than lessons, so it's a weaker case for reimbursement than a curriculum. Use scholarship or ESA funds for core materials or tutoring; see options on our scholarships hub, including Florida and Arizona. Save your picks to a wishlist and apply once on Edulist.
