Is Reading Eggs worth the money?

Reading Eggs is one of the most complete reading apps for young kids: it moves from letter sounds to comprehension of longer passages, adds early math, and covers four children for $99.99 a year. Kids can do most of it on their own. It's more reading-heavy and less game-like than some rivals, gives limited feedback when kids struggle, and works best alongside reading real books with an adult.
