How much does Varsity Tutors cost?
Varsity Tutors doesn't publish prices. A consultant quotes a plan based on subject, goals and hours. Public reviews mention around $100 an hour and monthly charges of several hundred dollars, so ask for the hourly rate and billing schedule in writing.
Is Varsity Tutors worth it?
It can be if you need a specialist quickly, especially for test prep or advanced courses, and you like having a tutor matched for you. It's less of a deal if price matters most, since marketplaces where you pick and pay tutors directly often cost less per hour.
Is there a Varsity Tutors coupon or promo code?
Varsity Tutors doesn't publish coupon codes on its site. Its official offers are the Tutor Satisfaction Guarantee and, for professional exams, a Pass Guarantee. Codes on coupon sites aren't verified.
How do I cancel Varsity Tutors?
Call Varsity Tutors using the number on its site and ask that billing stop, then get written confirmation. Some reviewers report they couldn't cancel inside their account, so don't rely on simply stopping sessions.
Are Varsity Tutors tutors qualified?
Varsity Tutors says it matches students with top tutors, but tutors are independent contractors who use their own methods and materials. Quality varies, which is why the satisfaction guarantee lets you switch after the first session.
Does Varsity Tutors help with homeschooling?
Yes. Homeschool families use it for subjects they don't want to teach, such as upper-level math, sciences or languages. It isn't a full curriculum, so pair it with a core program.
Can I use an ESA to pay for Varsity Tutors?
Possibly. Some ESA programs allow online tutoring from providers that meet their rules, and each program decides. Save Varsity Tutors to your Edulist wishlist and check scholarships for your state.
