These flash cards print Fry's first 100 Instant Words in frequency order, twelve to a page, each with a small number so you can split the deck into the standard groups of 25 (cards 1–25, 26–50 and so on). Fry estimated these 100 words make up about half of everything kids read.
Work through one group of 25 at a time. When your child reads all 25 instantly, add the next group and keep reviewing the old cards once a week. For bigger cards, choose 6 or 8 per page.
Tips for using it
- Cards 1–25 alone cover about a third of printed text. Master them first.
- Use a binder ring for each group of 25.
