This simple lesson plan template keeps planning quick: an objective, a materials list, a large procedure box for the steps of the lesson, an assessment line for how you'll check understanding, and notes and reflection for next time. It suits daily homeschool lessons, tutoring sessions and substitute plans, where a full detailed plan would be overkill.
Type the lesson title, subject and grade before printing if you like. When a lesson needs more structure, switch to the detailed format with I do / we do / you do, or to the 5E model for science.
Tips for using it
- Number the steps in the procedure box and add rough minutes beside each.
- Note which steps went long. Over a few weeks you'll learn how much really fits in a lesson.
