Time4Learning
Secular online homeschool curriculum for pre-K through 12th grade with animated and video lessons, auto-graded quizzes and a parent dashboard. Every grade costs $39.95 a month per student, with sibling discounts.
What is Time4Learning?
Time4Learning is a secular online homeschool curriculum for pre-K through 12th grade. It is a Cambium Learning Group brand and has been building its program for more than 20 years. Students log in, work through animated or video lessons, and the system grades their quizzes and keeps records for the parent.
It is a curriculum, not a school. The parent stays in charge as the homeschool teacher of record.
How it works
Each student gets a set of courses. In pre-K through 5th grade, that means math, language arts, science and social studies, plus Time4MathFacts. In grades 6–12, it is four core courses and three electives. Lessons mix short animations or video instruction with practice questions, printables and quizzes.
A typical day: your child opens the student page, sees the day's lessons, and works through each subject. The parent dashboard lets you set lesson plans, change grade level by subject, view scores and time spent, and print records. Parents grade elementary writing with scoring guides; high school compositions can be system- or parent-graded.
What it covers
| Grades | What's included |
|---|---|
| Pre-K | Math, language arts, science and social studies basics |
| K–5 | Math, language arts, science and social studies for most grades, plus Time4MathFacts |
| 6–8 | Four core subjects plus electives; middle school math is rigorous |
| 9–12 | English I–IV, Algebra I through precalculus and trigonometry, biology, chemistry, physics, US and world history, government, economics, and electives like drawing, photography, financial literacy and computer science |
Cathy Duffy notes elementary science and social studies are light and suggests supplementing them with books or hands-on projects.
Who it's best for
Time4Learning fits new homeschoolers who want a structured, open-and-go program, families with several kids who benefit from sibling discounts, and independent learners comfortable on a computer. Its reports are handy in states that require portfolios or quarterly updates; check your rules on our homeschool laws by state guide.
Look elsewhere if you need an accredited diploma, a faith-based curriculum, or lower screen time. Fast elementary learners may find the cartoons and repetition slow.
Pricing at a glance
As of October 2026, every grade costs $39.95 a month per student, with 10% to 25% sibling discounts and no contract. See the full Time4Learning pricing breakdown for add-ons and discounts.
Can a scholarship or ESA pay for it?
Often, yes. Time4Learning says families have used funds from programs such as Arizona's ESA, Florida's PEP and FES-UA (Florida scholarships), Utah Fits All and Texas Education Freedom Accounts, usually through a marketplace like ClassWallet or Odyssey. Each program decides what qualifies. Learn how ESAs and scholarships work, save Time4Learning to your wishlist, and apply once on Edulist.

Time4Learning FAQs
Is Time4Learning accredited?
No. Time4Learning is a curriculum provider, not a school, so it is not accredited and does not issue diplomas or official transcripts. Accreditation is not required to homeschool in any US state. Families who want an accredited school can look at Brightspire, the separate virtual school Time4Learning operates.
Is Time4Learning Christian or secular?
Time4Learning is secular. Cathy Duffy notes it follows typical public-school content, including evolution in science. Christian families often add Bible or worldview materials on their own.
How much does Time4Learning cost?
As of October 2026, it is $39.95 a month per student for any grade from pre-K to 12th. Sibling discounts range from 10% to 25%, and extra courses in grades 6–12 are $5 a month each.
Does Time4Learning have a free trial?
The current site does not list a free trial or money-back guarantee. You can view lesson demos by grade, and because billing is monthly with no contract, you can cancel after the first month.
How do I cancel Time4Learning?
Log in to the Parent Dashboard and cancel there. Your child keeps access until the end of the current 30-day billing cycle, and there is no long-term contract.
Is Time4Learning a full curriculum?
It covers math, language arts, science and social studies, plus electives in grades 6–12, so many families use it as their full program. Cathy Duffy suggests supplementing elementary science and social studies, which are lighter.
Can I use ESA or scholarship money for Time4Learning?
Time4Learning lists more than 20 state programs that families have used to pay, including Arizona ESA, Florida PEP and Utah Fits All. Each program decides what qualifies and how you buy.
What devices does Time4Learning work on?
