Every state capital on one black-and-white page: a dot marks each capital city, with its name beside it. The small northeastern states have their capitals listed beside the coast with a leader line, so every name stays readable. Alaska and Hawaii sit in boxes at the lower left and are not drawn to scale.
Keep it next to the interactive states and capitals map while your child explores, or use it as the answer sheet for the state capitals worksheet. Switch Sheet to Numbered for a fill-in version with an answer key.
Tips for using it
- Highlight the capitals that are also their state's largest city, such as Phoenix, Denver and Boston, in one color.
- Cover the names with sticky notes and quiz yourself one region at a time.

Questions
Does this map show Washington, D.C.?
No. It shows the 50 state capitals. Washington, D.C. is the national capital, but it is a federal district, not a state, so it has no state capital of its own.
