Who Monarch is for (and who it isn’t)

Best for

  • Christian families with students in grades 3–12 who want independent online work
  • Busy or working parents who want automatic grading and reports
  • Families who want many electives without buying separate programs
  • Students who need to work above or below grade level in some subjects

Look elsewhere if

  • Children under grade 3 or kids who need a lot of hands-on learning
  • Families trying to limit screen time
  • Students who need an accredited diploma from the program itself

What parents say about Monarch

A summary of public parent feedback we read on forums, app stores and review sites. It is not a set of Edulist family reviews.

Parent reviews consistently praise Monarch's automatic grading, record-keeping, customization and independence for students. The most common complaint is technical: crashes, logouts and lost work, along with some grading errors, heavy quiz loads and doubts about upper-level math and science. Many reviews predate the 2026 platform relaunch.

Common praise

  • Grading and records handled automatically
  • Students can work independently
  • Customizable schedules and grading weights
  • Good value for a full Christian curriculum

Common complaints

  • Glitches, logouts and lost work
  • Correct answers sometimes marked wrong
  • Too many quizzes and projects at once
  • Math and science feel weak to some at high school level
