These printable multiplication flash cards cover every fact from 0 × 0 to 12 × 12, twelve cards to a page. Each front page is followed by its answer page, laid out as a mirror image, so when you print double-sided the answer lands right behind its fact. Cut on the dashed lines and you have a full deck.

All 169 cards is a lot to start with. For a smaller deck, choose one number (the 7s gives 13 cards), start at 1 instead of 0, stop at 9 or 10, or turn on Skip turnaround facts to keep 3 × 7 but drop 7 × 3 (91 cards for 0–12). A good routine is a few minutes a day: sort cards into "know it" and "not yet" piles, and only keep drilling the "not yet" pile.

Tips for using it

  • Print on cardstock so the answers don't show through.
  • If the backs come out upside down, switch Double-sided printing to the other edge.
  • Keep a 'not yet' pile and add only three or four new cards at a time.

Questions

How do I print flash cards double-sided?

Print the whole PDF with duplex (two-sided) printing on. Match the flip setting here to your printer: long edge for most portrait printing. The answer pages are mirrored so each answer lands behind its fact. Test one sheet first.

How many multiplication flash cards are there?

169 for 0 to 12, or 144 for 1 to 12. With turnaround facts skipped, 0–12 drops to 91 cards and 1–12 to 78.

How long should flash card practice take?

Short and frequent works best. Five to ten minutes a day is plenty for most kids.
