This homeschool report card template prints ten common homeschool subjects with four quarter columns and a final grade, plus sections for work habits, attendance and comments. Write your school name, the student and the school year at the top, and fill in a column each quarter.

Want different subjects? Edit the list, one per line; up to 14 fit on the page. Switch to semesters or trimesters if your year runs that way, or to 1–4 standards-based marks for younger children. Every field can be typed before printing, so you can make a clean, finished report card or keep a blank copy for handwritten grades.

Tips for using it

  • Name your homeschool. A school name on the report card helps if your child ever transfers or applies to a program that asks for records.
  • Record days in session even if your state doesn't require it. It's easy to lose track by spring.

Questions

What should a homeschool report card include?

Subjects and grades for each period, attendance, a short comment and a signature. A grading key helps anyone outside your family read it.

How do I grade homeschool subjects?

Many families use test and assignment percentages for math and spelling, and a rubric or mastery mark for writing, reading and the arts. Pick one approach per subject and stick to it all year.
