A blank multiplication chart has the headers (1 to 12 across and down) and empty squares for your child to fill in. Filling it in is one of the best ways to see that multiplication is organized: kids quickly notice they can skip count down a column, copy turnaround facts across the diagonal, and fill the 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s rows almost without thinking.

Turn on the answer key to print a filled chart for checking. A good routine is one blank chart a week: time it, write the time at the top, and watch it shrink. When a row is fast and correct, that table is learned.

Tips for using it

  • Let your child fill the easy rows first (1, 2, 5, 10), then the turnaround facts, and only then the hard middle.
  • Fill in with pencil, check with the answer key, and circle any mistakes to practice tomorrow.
  • Use a 1–10 blank chart for younger kids so the job doesn't feel endless.

Questions

How do I check a blank multiplication chart?

Turn on Answer key before you print or download. The last page is a filled chart with the same layout, so you can lay them side by side.

How long should filling in a blank chart take?

There is no official target. What matters is that the time drops week to week and the mistakes disappear. Write the time at the top each time so your child can see their progress.
