A blank plant cell with an empty box at the end of every leader line and a word bank of all 17 parts. Students write each name in its box: the cell wall and plasmodesmata on the outside, the chloroplasts and central vacuole, and the organelles plant and animal cells share. The answer key on page two shows every label in red.
Practice first with the label quiz in the interactive plant cell, which also has a side-by-side comparison with the animal cell. For a no-word-bank version, print the numbered plant cell sheet.
Tips for using it
- Start with the parts only plant cells have (cell wall, chloroplast, central vacuole, plasmodesmata).
- Ask which three parts would be missing if this were an animal cell, and which two an animal cell would add.
