These kindergarten sight word worksheets are find-and-color hunts: each word gets a bubble grid with four to six copies hidden among look-alike words, chosen to share a first letter or length (for example, was among want, what and we). Your child colors every match and writes how many they found, which builds fast, accurate recognition.

The sheets cover the 92 kindergarten words (Dolch pre-primer plus primer) ten at a time; change Word group for the next ten. The answer key circles every match and gives the count. For a calmer variation, switch Find the word in to Rows of letters, where the word hides in a line of letters.

Tips for using it

  • Have your child read each word aloud as they color it.
  • Use a different crayon color for each word on the page.

Questions

Why use look-alike words instead of random words?

Kids confuse words that look similar, like was and saw. Sorting them out in a grid is the skill they need when reading.

Can I use these worksheets for a different list?

Yes. Pick any Dolch level, Fry hundred, grade list or your own words in the controls.
