Ten rows counting by 10s from different multiples of ten (like 70 or 140), each with three blanks. Counting past 100 (90, 100, 110) is where many children stumble, and several rows cross it.

Kindergartners count to 100 by tens, and 2nd graders skip count by 10s within 1,000. Counting by tens is also mental math for adding ten: 47, 57, 67. Pair it with tens and ones and base-ten blocks, or move on to counting by 100s in the mixed skip counting worksheets.

Tips for using it

  • Only the tens digit changes; the ones digit stays the same.
  • After 90 comes 100, then 110: say 'one hundred ten', not 'ten-ty'.
