This worksheet has four number lines from 0 to 2, each split into sixths, with about half of the labels missing. Kids fill in the blanks by counting sixths from the nearest label they can see. The answer key shows every missing fraction in red, including mixed numbers like 1 2/6.

Sixths are a good challenge because they connect to halves and thirds: 3/6 sits on top of 1/2, and 2/6 sits on top of 1/3. Ask your child to circle those. Click New problems for a different set of missing labels, or change the denominator with Smaller marks.

Tips for using it

  • Before writing, have your child count the parts between 0 and 1 out loud.
  • Circle any label that equals a simpler fraction, like 3/6 = 1/2.
