Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, so these puzzles are ready for a classroom party on Friday the 30th or a cozy night before trick-or-treating. You get two different Halloween word searches with 15 words each, so all 30 words in the bank appear once: pumpkin, costume, cauldron, scarecrow, candy corn, jack-o'-lantern, haunted, mummy and more.
The Medium setting hides words across, down and diagonally in a 13 × 13 grid, which suits most kids in grades 2 to 5. For a kindergartner, switch to Easy (across and down only); for a tween who finishes in two minutes, choose Hard so words also run backwards. The vocabulary is spooky-silly rather than scary, so it works for mixed ages and for families who keep Halloween light. Print one puzzle per child, or hand out puzzle 2 to whoever finishes first.
