A 3rd grade math review in eight parts: multiplication facts, division facts, three-digit addition and subtraction, rounding to the nearest 10 and 100, naming shaded fractions, comparing fractions, telling time to the minute, and two word problems. About two pages, with an answer key.

These are the big 3rd grade standards: multiply and divide within 100 (knowing all products of one-digit numbers by the end of the year), add and subtract within 1,000, round, understand fractions as numbers, and tell time to the nearest minute. Use the review every few weeks to see what's solid. Then practice the weak spots: 3rd grade multiplication, 3rd grade division, rounding, 3rd grade fractions, 3rd grade telling time or 3rd grade word problems.

Tips for using it

  • Multiplication facts are the 3rd grade priority; practice five minutes a day.
  • Use estimation to check three-digit sums and differences.

Questions

What math should a 3rd grader know?

Multiplication and division within 100, addition and subtraction within 1,000, rounding to 10 and 100, fractions with denominators 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8, area and perimeter, time to the minute, and two-step word problems.

Are the answers included?

Yes. The answer key prints after the student pages with the same layout, so checking takes a minute.
