Fifty multiplication facts from the 1 to 12 times tables in horizontal rows built for speed. All 169 facts from 0 × 0 to 12 × 12 are in the pool, and none repeats until all have been used, so four sheets cover the full table.

Use it as a mixed check after practicing single tables. Set a timer, count correct answers, and repeat over a few weeks. Any fact your child hesitates on goes on a list to practice with the single-table sheets, from the 2 times table to the 12 times table. A multiplication chart helps for reference while learning.

Tips for using it

  • Do one sheet per week as a check; practice single tables on the other days.
  • Track the time and the score; aim for better accuracy before better speed.

Questions

How fast should a child know their times tables?

A common fluency goal is about three seconds per fact. Fifty facts in about three minutes is a strong result for a 4th grader.

Do kids need to learn up to 12 × 12?

The Common Core standards require facts within 100 (up to 10 × 10). Many programs and countries teach up to 12 × 12, and it helps with dozens, feet and inches.
