Twelve large clock faces, each showing an o'clock time from 1:00 to 12:00 (every hour once). With no minute tick marks, the face stays simple: the minute hand points straight up to 12, and the short hour hand points right at the number that tells the time.
This is where telling time starts, usually in kindergarten or early 1st grade. Children learn which hand is which, and that "o'clock" means the minute hand is on 12. Next, move on to time to the half hour, or switch Activity to Draw the hands for the reverse skill.
Start with the short hand: whatever number it points to is the hour. When the long hand points to 12, we say o'clock.
Either is right. The sheet has blanks for the hour and minutes, so 3:00 fits, but saying 3 o'clock aloud is great practice.
